Architecture                  Audio Setup

Currently there are 4 computers installed.

Main FSX computer runs visuals, ProSim 737 Server, ProSim MCP and ProSim CDU (for F/O CDU)

MIP currently runs on 3 notebook computers:

  • Notebook 1 runs  Captain PFD/ND and Upper EICAS
  • Notebook 2 runs  F/O PFD/ND and Lower EICAS and ProSim Audio.
  • Notebook 3 runs  Captain FMC and ProSim Audio.

MIP monitors:

  • 2 x 18.5" monitors  for PFD/ND,
  • 1 x Dell 15" monitor  for Upper EICAS
  • 1 x 10.4" monitor for Lower EICAS.

FMC/CDU:

  • 1 x FDS Pro-MX  CDU.
  • 1 x FlyEngravity CDU (possibly will be replaced with FDS CDU later)

The main FSX  computer has:

  • MSI P67-GD65 motherboard,
  • Sandy Bridge 2600K processor, overclocked to 4.6 GHz
  • 8 GB G.Skill RAM,
  • CoolerMaster 1000W PSU.
  • NVidia GTX 570 video card (not overclocked).
  • Matrox TripleHead2Go.

Two Corsair SSD drives F60 and F120:

  • 60GB SSD drive is for Windows 7 64-bit
  • 120 GB for FSX and related programs.
  • 500 GB HDD for all other needs.

Second SSD soon to be replaced with Samsung 840  240 GB SSD.

Note that main FSX computer was assembled almost 4 years ago. NVidia GTX570 video card probably will be upgraded later after building phase is more or less finished.

Network: 16-ports TrendNet Ethernet hub, 100 Mbps.

Audio system: one Sony 5.1  audio center with active subwoofer.
2 Aura Bass shakers installed on IPECO seats. AuraBass shakers run through additional amplifiers.

MIP and TQ powered by 300 W computer-type PSU.
Another 380 W computer-type PSU  is installed in the sim base, currently powering Aura Bass shakers. Later it will be used for powering the Pedestal.
